Docket Processing
Our docket is processed according to Judge Cope's order. Roll call is done by Judge Cope alphabetically and then the cases are handled in accordance to what procedure defendants are wanting to pursue.

Age Restrictions
If you are 16 years old or younger you must appear in court before Judge Cope with a parent or legal guardian. No exceptions.

Appearing Before Initial Court Date
If you would like to appear before your initial appointed court date you may do so for the following circumstances:
  • To request defensive driving
  • To pay your fine
  • To request a continuance ( only 1 request allowed and must be done by 12:00 noon on Friday prior to your Monday court appearance)
  • To set up a payment schedule
  • To request deferred disposition (must appear in person)

Helpful Information
Please note that if you appear on your assigned court date, there is a possibility that you could be in attendance for four to five hours depending on the circumstances of your citation. We process the cases as quickly as possible so that defendants are not detained any longer than necessary.

Judge Cope strictly enforces proper dress code. Absolutely no shorts, tank tops, t-shirts (collard shirts ONLY) and no flip flops are allowed.
