Pickup Days
Garbage pickup is on Tuesdays and Fridays, except holidays.
- AmeriWaste may be closed on observed holidays including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas. The city will be notified of any changes in pick up on a holiday.
- You may either use bags or cans (no barrels) weight cannot exceed 50 lbs, must have handles, and no greater than 55 gallons. The maximum of six bags, cans, bundles, items, or combination thereof shall be picked up each pick up day.
- Water based paint may be picked up curbside if it is dried out with an absorbent such as kitty litter. Please remove lids from paint cans.
Unacceptable Waste- Hazardous material which consists of gas, oil, paint thinner or any other type of chemical. Other items include tires, batteries, oil based paint, and lawn pesticides
