A Message from Mayor Kurt

Veteran’s Day in the U.S. provides a great reason to pause, reflect, and recognize.

Despite the strains on our lives, it is important to remember how eternally grateful we are to the men and women who have served and fought for our country.  They are not just soldiers, they are heroes.

Today, there are nearly 20 million veterans in the U.S.  We are so fortunate to have so many Clear Lake Shores veterans to not only call heroes, but to call our friends, neighbors, and family. All who served have given up some of the best years of their lives; we must never forget their service and sacrifice.

To all veterans, active-duty men and women, and their families around the world, thank you!  We are forever grateful.

It is important to take this time to step back and reflect; we owe them so much. Let us always pray for them and their families and never forget the sacrifices they have made for us.

Mayor Kurt

The City of Clear Lake Shores would like to invite all of our residents to join us in celebrating our Clear Lake Shores veterans on Thursday, November 11th. Mayor Kurt Otten will be recognizing our veterans at Sundial (Lowell Brown) Park at 5:30 p.m. followed by the playing of "Retreat" and "To the Colors" to honor the men and women who have bravely served to protect the nation's liberty and freedom. Please join us as we recognize all the sacrifices that they have made for our country.
